This year’s Heritage Festival took place on Thursday 26th & Friday 27th August at 7.30pm each evening. The festival consisted of lectures and an exhibition.

This is a re-enactment of the war time wedding of Dan Breen and Bridget Malone. It took place in Glenegat House near New Inn on June 12th 1921, during the War of Independence. This film using local actors and crew depicts this turbulent time in our history. The joy of a wedding in the midst of so much suffering lifted the spirits and the element of danger heightened the tensions!
