Reviews and Articles
Something about Paint by Carissa Farrell, Curator, in the Irish Arts Review, Winter 2013.
‘Carroll Deeley’s work is palatable, beautiful, gentle, still and contemplative. But her still-life assortments sometimes hover and float and are painted so tentatively that there is a suggestion that something else is preoccupying the artist.’
(Three Degrees of Painting, Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, 7th November – 6th December 2013.)
Graduating with Sophistication by Aidan Dunne, Art Critic, in the Irish Times, Wednesday 18th June, 2008:
‘Working with paint, Judy Carroll Deeley (NCAD) looked at our desire to make ideal interiors in architectonic compositions realised with great flair for pattern and a bold, very sure sense of colour’.
(Degree Show, National College of Art and Design, June 2008)
At the opening of the Three Degrees of Painting show:
‘Tender, compelling and enduring’
